DO YOU NEED A DAILY MONEY MANAGER, A MONEY COUNSELOR – or – A BOOKKEEPER?
People from all walks of life, in a variety of situations, utilize the services of a Daily Money Manager (DMM), a Money Counselor or a Bookkeeper.
Sometimes a change in your life circumstances brings about the need for assistance. Or daily commitments leave little time to handle your day-to-day finances.
WHAT’S DAILY MONEY MANAGEMENT ALL ABOUT?
As a DAILY MONEY MANAGER, I provide assistance to individuals/couples who have difficulty managing — and keeping current — with their personal day-to-day financial affairs. I specialize in working with senior citizens, people with disabilities and others who may have health issues that interfere with staying on top of personal financial matters, as well as professionals who want time to enjoy other pursuits. (Family members of seniors are always welcome to be included in the process, if desired.)
Services offered include:
- Reconciling checking accounts, credit cards or other accounts
- Sorting and Understanding the mail — is this a bill?
- Paying your bills on time — no more late fees!
- Monitoring medical bills and credit cards
- Creating a Budget
- Identifying and resolving problems with incorrect bills, insurance companies, etc.
WHAT’S MONEY COUNSELING ALL ABOUT?
As a MONEY COUNSELOR, I specialize in helping people who feel overwhelmed, burdened or perplexed with their day-to-day finances, can’t figure out where their money goes and don’t know who to turn to for help.
The Counseling process includes tracking how, when & where you spend your money. It also involves exploring your emotional beliefs about money, which are often unrecognized but can contribute greatly to financial difficulties. This helps you discover — and become aware of — your spending patterns. The goal is to bring financial clarity into your life, improve your financial outlook and help you feel empowered with money issues.
WHAT’S BOOKKEEPING ALL ABOUT?
As a seasoned BOOKKEEPER, I help individuals and small businesses pay bills, track expenditures and understand the ‘ins and outs’ of the numbers! Other services include:
- Tax Preparation Bookkeeping – preparing your financial information for your accountant/tax preparer
- Invoicing your clients
- Organizing your financial documents/paperwork for better recordkeeping
You may want to consider the services of a Daily Money Manager, a Financial Counselor or a Bookkeeper if:
Your aging parents (or other loved ones) need assistance managing/staying current with their financial obligations, understanding what’s arrived in the mail, etc. and you don’t have time to help;
You feel overwhelmed by your finances and powerless to improve your situation, don’t know where your money goes or where to turn for help;
You are incurring finance charges on a regular basis due to late payment of bills;
You want your expenses and other tax-related items tracked throughout the year;
You have a medical condition that interferes with staying current with your financial obligations;
You are going through a divorce or other life-changing event that affects your finances;
Your travel schedule interrupts paying bills and limits your time to manage financial matters in a timely manner.
